Barn reconstruction – Modena

Following the earthquake in May 2012 in Emilia many houses and farms collapsed or were severely damaged.
For the reconstruction owners preferred the ECOSISM technology to traditional reinforced concrete systems or framed structures. The several reasons of this choice:
– Seismic proofing to ensure the safety of the occupants and the workplace;
– Speed and ease of installation with shorter on-site construction times;
– Maximum usability of the interior thanks to the absence of pillars, even on large areas;
– Fire resistance of the structure which is required for workplaces.
The pictures are related to the building that suffered the collapse of the roof and the masonry and on which was reconstructed with a earthquake-resistant structure with conservation of the appearance of the original architectural feature.
